Our mission is to create a team of Leaders, people who contribute to the lives of others, who overcome their own ordeals and obstacles, who have the courage and confidence to stand up, have a voice and be remarkable. To create a ripple effect, seeing their actions have a positive impact on the lives of many others.
It’s nice getting paid but is that enough?
Having spent a large number of years in the Corporate world, I can appreciate the allure of working for a pay-check, having the mentality of a worker, an employee or a manager. It provides stability and certainty, or at least so we think, yet it is rarely something that we truly believe in. Isn’t it true that if the company downsizes, or moves off-shore, that you would have less stability and less certainty in your position?
Is your Job meaningful?
A ‘job’ or ‘work’ for most people, rarely falls into an area of life that they are deeply passionate about, that inspires them, that allows them to contribute to others in a meaningful and positive way! What if you have confidence and certainty in your own ability to provide for yourself, in your ability to create wealth whilst doing something you believe in?
Great Ideas Locked up with Fears
Most people have great ideas, yet most people also fail to take action on these ideas. They have fear. Fear of criticism, fear of being wrong. The only thing that holds us back from executing these great ideas is fear. It’s difficult to admit, but it’s also crucial to understand. Every pioneer, every change-agent, every innovator runs the risk of being wrong. One of the keys to success is accepting that in order to be right, you need to risk being wrong.
Dare to become Remarkable
Take a chance to be daring, believe in yourself, reach out to others, because a Leader is more engaged, passionate, powerful and happier than everyone else. Now don’t think that by becoming a Leader is an easy road to take. If it was everyone would be doing it, right? The reason why true leaders are scarce is because there is discomfort associated with Leading. For some people it is uncomfortable to stand up in front of strangers, to challenge the norms, to break outside of convention, to resist the urge to settle for a life of mediocrity, to suggest an idea that might fail. To over simply things, when an opporunity presents itself you have two choices; Do nothing, Do Something. The path of ‘Do Nothing’ never works, is safe and requires no effort at all.
At the next cross road, at the next opportunity, ask yourself “Will I be boring or will I be remarkable?” – You always have a choice!
